Solvay to reposition its Rhodiarome® ethyl-vanillin range with a price increase of 20%
Lyon, France – October 28, 2014 – Effective immediately or as contracts allow on a worldwide basis, Solvay Aroma Performance, inventor of ethyl vanillin, increases its Rhodiarome® ethyl-vanillin grade prices up to 20%.
The current ethyl-vanillin price level does not reflect anymore the high value of this product and its advantageous usage value (3 times stronger than vanillin). Ethyl-vanillin prices have consistently decreased in the last years.
Solvay Aroma Performance is fully striving to offer a continued high level of quality; safety and services everywhere in the world. And today, it masters the best technology process available which allows Rhodiarome®to propose the best flowability and safe handling ethyl-vanillin for customers.
Designing vanilla flavors since 1884, Solvay Aroma Performance was the first to synthetize and produce the vanillin molecule on an industrial scale. Solvay is the only producer mastering the whole manufacturing chain — from Catechol to its historic flagship brands Rhovanil® and Rhodiarome®. The Aroma Performance business unit operates facilities in Saint-Fons (France, Baton Rouge (USA) and soon in Zhenjiang (China).
